Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PinPublish ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Micolie, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service at pinpublish.com.
1. Information We Collect
Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Pinterest data: When you connect a Pinterest profile, we store the OAuth access and refresh tokens issued by Pinterest, along with basic profile details (name, username, avatar). We never access or store your Pinterest password.
Usage data: We store the pins, titles, descriptions, image URLs, scheduled times, and automation settings you create within the app.
Payment data: Subscription payments are processed by Paystack. We store your Paystack customer code and subscription status but never your card number or full payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve PinPublish, to send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, billing receipts), and to publish pins to Pinterest on your explicit instruction. We do not use your data for advertising.
3. Third-Party Services
Pinterest API: We use Pinterest's official API to publish and schedule pins. Your use of Pinterest is also governed by Pinterest's own privacy policy.
OpenAI: If you use AI features (title rewriting, board matching), the relevant text is sent to OpenAI to generate suggestions. Each AI request is triggered by you.
Paystack: Subscription payments are handled by Paystack, who process your payment details directly. We do not see or store your card information.
Brevo: We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to deliver transactional emails. Your email address is shared with Brevo solely for this purpose.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party beyond what is described in Section 3. We may disclose data if required by law.
5. Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your account Settings page, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.
7. Security
Passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing. Pinterest tokens are stored in an encrypted database on our servers. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
PinPublish is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
